Development Victoria

Since 1988, Melbourne Park has been home of the Australian Open, and because of this redevelopment, it will remain the home of the Australian Open until 2036. 

Constructed between Rod Laver Arena and John Cain Arena, the Show Court Arena is partially sunk into the ground. It features an open-roof structure that provides shade and weather protection. The arena is complete and ready for use in the 2022 Australian Open.

Development Victoria turned to HiVis Pictures to document the construction of The Melbourne Park Show Court Arena and provide evidence of Melbourne’s commitment to remain the global home of sport and entertainment.
