Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC)

Plenary Group

Plenary Health constructed and installed a pedestrian bridge across Grattan Street in Melbourne as part of the new $1 billion Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre (VCCC) Project.

HiVis Pictures created a dynamic time-lapse video to document this historic moment in the construction of the state-of-the-art facility. From fabrication to installation, the video shows a project that is unique in scale and social importance.

Over a four-week period, two large mobile cranes were used to lift the 110 tonne bridge into place. The structure created a walkway that connects ambulatory care and pathology areas on Level 2 of the facility on the South side with ambulatory care and pathology areas on Level 2 of the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

HiVis Pictures condensed four weeks of design, construction and installation of this walkway into a 52 second video, providing all the evidence needed to show why the Plenary Group were the right team for the job.
