The Caulfield to Dandenong Level Crossing Removal Project demonstrates how rail corridors can be transformed into vital public recreational space.

Nine level crossings were removed and replaced with ‘rail-overs’, where the rail line is elevated above the existing corridor, opening up previously unavailable public areas, and creating opportunities for community use and connection.

HiVis Pictures produced a series of stills that show how progressive development of the rail network and removal of road crossings created more green spaces and parklands.
